Our friend and longtime NWOS member, Dick Hanson, is retiring from the orchid hobby and is looking to pass his 10’x15’ Sunglo greenhouse and all its systems along to someone who might put it to good use.
As you can see from these photos, it is equipped with heat, ventilation, lighting, misting, and custom aluminum benches. It has great heat retention with 3-layers of polycarbonate – a corrugated center sandwiched between two flat panels in each section. Some of these panels are due for replacement with new material.
Dick is offering this to anyone who will come and remove the entire structure from his back yard. It’s not brand new and shiny, but it could be a wonderful opportunity for someone who is a little bit handy and doesn’t want to take on the expense of building and rigging a new greenhouse.
The heating is a 240-volt heater and has never had difficulty keeping the greenhouse warm even on the coldest of winters.
